Pheobe, 14, lives with her foster carers. Pheobe has always been ‘artsy’ ever since she was little and was keen to learn how to use her new camera. She wanted to explore the impact of the pandemic on young people her own age, particularly on their mental health and emotional wellbeing. She was struck by the effects of being isolated from other people her age and by the massive impact on their education.

“I really feel like I can capture the moment with a photo, capture a memory that can last forever. This might be why I am really interested in street photography. For me, the meaning behind photos is so important as each one has a different story.”
